Noah Okafor Signed by Napoli to Replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Napoli has officially secured the signing of forward Noah Okafor from AC Milan, filling the void left by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who recently made a high-profile move to Paris Saint-Germain. Okafor, a Nigerian-born Switzerland international, has joined the Serie A champions on loan until the end of the current season, with an option to make the move permanent. His arrival comes after Kvaratskhelia’s departure to PSG in a deal reportedly worth €70 million ($72 million), which marked a significant change for Napoli’s attacking options.

Napoli’s owner, Aurelio De Laurentiis, expressed his enthusiasm for Okafor’s arrival, welcoming the forward with a message on X (formerly Twitter). Before finalizing the move for Okafor, De Laurentiis had also reportedly pursued Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi and Fenerbahce’s Allan Saint-Maximin. However, the club ultimately decided that Okafor would be the right fit for their squad.

At 24 years old, Okafor has had a tough season at AC Milan, scoring just one goal in 11 league appearances since joining from Austrian club Salzburg in July 2023. Despite his challenges, Napoli is optimistic that the forward can rediscover his form in Serie A and contribute to their attacking force.

Napoli, currently leading Serie A by three points over second-placed Inter Milan, will aim to maintain their top position as they prepare to host Udinese this Sunday. With the addition of Okafor, they hope to solidify their title challenge for the remainder of the season.
